Agreement to Terms

By using Shift, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

Shift is NOT a replacement for professional mental health treatment.

  • Shift is a wellness tool for nervous system regulation
  • It does NOT diagnose, treat, or cure mental illness
  • It does NOT replace therapy, medication, or medical care
  • If you're in crisis, call 988 (USA) or your local crisis hotline
  • Always consult a licensed healthcare provider for medical advice

Use of the App

You may use Shift for:

  • Personal nervous system regulation
  • Supplementing professional treatment
  • Learning regulation techniques

You may NOT:

  • Reverse engineer or copy the app
  • Use it for illegal purposes
  • Share your account with others
  • Scrape or harvest user data
  • Claim it as medical treatment

Subscriptions & Payments

Free Trial: 7 days, no credit card required. Cancel anytime.

Subscriptions: Monthly or annual billing via Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Cancellation: Cancel through your app store settings. Access continues until end of billing period.

Refunds: Handled by Apple/Google per their policies. Contact support@themindshiftapp.com for issues.

Price Changes: We may change pricing with 30 days notice.

Account Responsibilities

  • You're responsible for keeping your account secure
  • You must be 13+ to use Shift (13-17 requires parental consent)
  • Provide accurate information when signing up
  • Notify us immediately if your account is compromised

Intellectual Property

Shift owns all content, design, code, and features. This includes:

  • App design and interface
  • Regulation techniques and exercises
  • Audio guides and visual prompts
  • AI models and algorithms
  • Trademarks and branding

You can't copy, modify, or redistribute any of it without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Shift is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

We're not liable for:

  • Medical outcomes or lack thereof
  • App downtime or technical issues
  • Data loss (though we do our best to prevent it)
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Maximum liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Use the app for illegal purposes
  • Abuse or harass our support team
  • Reverse engineer or hack the app

You can delete your account anytime from app settings.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a problem, email support@themindshiftapp.com first. We'll try to resolve it.

If we can't resolve it, disputes are handled by binding arbitration (not court).

Arbitration is governed by the laws of [State], USA.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of major changes via email.

Continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.
